Pet ownership is a serious commitment that should never be entered on a whim. Just because you may want a pet or a child is begging for a dog or any pet for that matter should you bring home one unless you’re 💯 percent ready to take on that responsibility.
.
.

The time to think about those responsibilities of what dog ownership is, is not after you’ve brought home the puppy, but before. They’re other challenges of just raising to do.
.
.

Ownership of a dog requires care, feeding, shelter, financial, physical, emotional, vet care, training and love. Before bringing home the puppy you must consider what it will take to keep this puppy safe, happy and healthy. You should ask yourself “will this puppy adapt with my everyday life, is this the right puppy/breed for me?”
.
.

Training is a huge financial responsibility that is often overlooked since many new dog owners remember how it was to own a dog when they were a child. What you have to remember is that it wasn’t YOUR responsibility but your parents and as parents we make things look easy and what you didn’t do they took care of.
Truly think about the decision before jumping into what can truly become an issue, often then not DOGS end up in animal shelters or worse, living in a home where they are neglected or unwanted.
